I had a dream ...
I was still at school and planning my university schedule when my mother contacted Rebecca and Julia at Classic Dressage to see if they could help find my perfect horse so that I could live my best life and ride for the Spanish Team. We went to The Netherlands and Rebecca organised a number of horses that might work for me. Of course the one I set my heart on was 'Just Happy' who was in the Equine Elite Auction in October 2023. And we could not be there. I was heartbroken but then .....
My mother had Julia on the phone at the Auction from our home in Spain and she talked us through exactly what was happening in the arena. I had Rebecca on the phone who was live-streaming so we felt that we were right there in the room and in control. Julia followed our instructions and bid on our behalf and we will never forget knowing he was ours!
This is what my mother had to say
"It is 3 years since Just Happy entered our lives and we could never have imagined owning a horse of Happy's quality. He has a great mind, a wonderful temperament and is incredibly willing to work.
The first year they achieved the Spanish University Vice-Championship. The second year, in 2025, they became the Spanish University Champions, won team silver at the Spanish Championships and were selected to compete at the European Championships in Kronberg. It was a year when dreams came true. And this year, 2026 they have moved up to their new category, U25 so we couldn't be happier.
We are so grateful that our paths crossed with Rebecca and Julia. I still remember the words "HE'S YOURS".
He truly has been a great choice.
