Stubben 2254 Precision D-Ring Bit Double Broken
The Precision D-Ring Bit double jointed is designed to deliver enhanced steering and improved contact, offering additional influence on the upper jaw through its innovative D-ring construction. The new Ring-Stop System allows the D-rings to move outward for refined guidance while preventing them from folding inward, helping the horse maintain balance—especially in turns.
The anatomically shaped, 3-dimensional comfort mouthpiece features the advanced soft-rigid effect, providing increased comfort for the horse while ensuring highly effective, precise communication of the rider’s aids. This combination of stability, control, and ergonomic design makes the Precision D-Ring Bit an excellent choice for riders seeking accuracy and harmony in their training. If you already have a bit that fits your horse well, you can use it as a reference for choosing the correct size.
If not, measure your horse’s mouth width by placing a bit sizer or a soft cord/string in the mouth at the position where the bit will sit, mark the ends, then measure the distance. The bit width should be such that the rings rest just outside (or very slightly beyond) the lip corners—if the bit is too narrow, it will pinch; too wide, it will shift side to side. For loose ring bits, allow a little “play” (1cm on one side) so the rings can rotate freely without pinching the lips.
