SPRENGER Duo bits are very gentle on the horse’s mouth. The mouthpiece is made of soft, flexible plastic which adapts to the horse’s mouth in an ideal way. The material is food-safe, solvent-free and does not contain any plasticisers. The mouthpiece is reinforced with a steel cable to make it stable and to provide more security. Different from pure metal bits there is the danger of the plastic being easily bitten through when the bit is not attached correctly and gets into contact with the teeth. No returns or exchanges are possible if there are chew marks on the mouthpiece.

Happy comfortable TB appreciates her new bit!

My 8yo TB was starting to dislike her current bit, so we tried the Sprenger Duo and she loves it!
I had bought a Duo elsewhere a few years ago, and it was just far too thick. This Sprenger 40801 Duo is perfectly slim, flexible and comfortable in her mouth.
She’s no longer overreacting when she spooks and hits the bit, also she’s light in the hand and settled.
Not tried jumping in it yet, but it’s great for flat work and speedy hacks. Our TB boys both jump in theirs, so I’m hopefully we can stick with it XC too!
